Meet Amy

Guidance for people and families.

For more than 30 years, I have worked with individuals and families navigating aging, chronic illness, long-term care, hospice, and the end of life.

That work has taught me how much support people need when an aging parent’s needs begin to change. Alongside the practical questions can be a quieter kind of grief—especially when someone they love is slowly changing because of cognitive decline. It can feel like a slow goodbye.

As cognitive health became personal in my own family, I grew interested in what we can do earlier. I became certified in both Apollo Health’s PreCODE and ReCODE programs. Today, my work brings together family guidance and a proactive, whole-person approach to brain health.

My philosophy

“Good support starts with understanding the whole person and the people around them.”

Whether we are talking about brain health or a family decision, I begin by listening. I help people understand what matters to them, ask useful questions, and find realistic next steps. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in each person’s values.

01Make room for the person and the family.
02Look at the full picture, from daily habits to practical decisions.
03Choose meaningful steps that fit real life.

Ways to work together

Support at different moments of life.

Some people come to me as they navigate an aging parent’s changing needs or a loved one’s cognitive decline. Others want to be more intentional about their own brain health. Both conversations deserve care and attention.

01 / Families

Guidance for families

I work with people caring for aging parents and with families living through the slow goodbye of cognitive decline. We can talk through caregiving, changing needs, long-term care, and end-of-life decisions, while making room for the grief and uncertainty along the way.

02 / Brain health

A proactive approach to cognitive health

For adults who want to understand their risks and support brain health as they age, I offer education and coaching around sustainable changes. I am certified in Apollo Health’s PreCODE program for prevention and ReCODE program for people experiencing cognitive decline.

Speaking & workshops

I also lead conversations on brain health, caregiving, dementia, and the layered losses of aging, including The Slow Goodbye.

The bigger picture

More clarity, connection, and agency.

My hope is to help people care for their health and one another with more confidence through every stage of aging.
